Stardust

Stardust

Soundtrack: Space Oddity - David Bowie

This ceramic creation reflects our cosmic existence. Its textured surface recalls the rugged beauty of distant galaxies, while the rough granularity evokes the primordial matter from which celestial bodies are formed.

The contrasts between light and dark on the vase are reminiscent of starlight breaking through cosmic dust clouds. The lighter interior glows like a distant nebula, while the dark base holds the mysteries of the universe.

The round shape mirrors the eternal cycles of the cosmos - the birth, life, and death of stars. 'Stardust' connects the earthly with the cosmic and reminds us that, as Carl Sagan said, we are all made of starstuff. It invites reflection on our place in the universe and the miraculous journey of matter - from dying stars to art in our hands.
